Trader Joe's Platinum Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

TJ.JPG

This is one of Trader Joe’s “fancy” wines. Platinum Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon was made in Napa Valley, California in 2018. It definitely needs to breathe, so open the bottle and let it aerate at least an hour before you drink it. It tastes like red fruit, dried cherries and vanilla and is slightly spicy. It is medium tannin, medium body and pleasantly astringent. This isn’t my favorite cab from Trader Joe’s, but it’s fun to taste the comparatively pricier options.
