Rose D'Anjou

IMG_2929.jpg

Rose D’Anjou is a Gamay-Grolleau from Famille Bougrier in the Loire Valley in France. This young rose is a beautiful medium salmon. It is one of my favorite roses. It tastes of cold, fresh strawberry. It is high acid and mouthwatering like an unsweet capri sun. It is bright and flavorful of fresh off the vine fruit. There is no tannin, and it has a medium finish.

Rose D’Anjou is the rose I reach for during hot summers. It pairs well with beach days and sour cream and onion chips (no, really! Try it!).

It is about $13 at Total Wine.
