Laboure-Gontard Brut

Laboure-Gontard Brut Cremant de Bourgogne is a mouthful of a name, but it is rich in flavor. Cremant is basically champagne made outside of the champagne area. Cremant is a French sparkling wine made in the same traditional method as champagne, but this one comes from Burgundy (Bourgogne). The yeasty, toasty flavor of the process comes through beautifully. It tastes floral and lemon. It is pale yellow and highly carbonated with fine bubbles. This brut has a great acid balance and a very quick finish.

Laboure-Gontard Brut is about $15 at Total Wine, an dit is an excellent cremant for that low price.
