Today we’re trying a wine and cheese pairing!

Cecilia Beretta Freeda Rose and Creamy Toscano Cheese Soaked in Rose Wine are both available at Trader Joes! Perfect for a quick stop on the way to the party or picnic.

Cecilia Beretta Freeda is a still rose from Lake Garda, Italy. It is made from 60% Corvina grapes, 30% Sauvignon and 10% Carmenere. It is pale salmon in color. It tastes very mineral with hints of pink grapefruit and peach. It’s dry with medium acidity. The bottle costs $8.99

Creamy Toscano Cheese Soaked in Rose Wine is a white, soft and creamy cheese with crystalized salt throughout. I love those little textural bites! It is flavorful, sharp and nutty and the rose flavor does come through! It costs $9.99/lb, so my block cost $4.10.

Together, the cheese makes the wine taste fruitier. The wine makes the cheese taste milder. For a total of $13.09, this pairing really balances each other out.
