Who else loves a jammy red?

This 2017 Cotes du Rhone was a real treat! Chateau Saint Jean, Plan de Dieu is from Cotes du Rhone Villages, France. The area is well known for its high quality blends with at least 50% Grenache grapes. If you love a Beaujolais, you’ll love this blend.

This wine is a very deep ruby red and tastes like cherry jam and leather. It has medium acidity and medium tannin with good balance between the two. It gets jammier the more it breathes but maintains a nice dryness.

This is a great pick!
