McBride Sisters She Cans

McBride Sisters is truly owned by two sisters who grew up in New Zealand and California respectively. The Black, women owned winery sells these cans of wine to raise money for the She Can Professional Development Fund, “which promotes the advancement of women in the wine industry,” by awarding scholarships. Each can is a half bottle of wine or about 2 glasses.

McBride Sisters She Can Rose is from California. It is super pale copper, barely rose-colored which suggests very little time in contact with the grape skins. It tastes like raspberry, white flowers and must. It also has some strong wine legs (when viscous drops stick to the glass).

She Can Sauvignon Blanc is from New Zealand. It is medium yellow and tastes like passionfruit, bitter orange pith and kiwi. It is fruity and dry with a long finish. It is refreshing and sturdy. I preferred this to the rose. Which do you prefer?
