Brugge
We spent most of our time walking around and eating. This Belgian waffle really stood out. After they cook the waffles, the shop dips them in a sugar syrup which dries to keep the waffles crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Mine was topped with real Belgian chocolate, fresh strawberries and real whipped cream. A delight!
We enjoyed walking around Brugge, taking in the canals and unique architecture. We even found hopscotch built in to one road.
We shared some hot, crunchy fries with mayo while we walked around the square and ducked into many different chocolate shops. Belgian chocolate makes the best gift for friends and family back home.
Brugge was beautiful, and I am so happy we stopped there. The food was great (Brugge has the most Michelin starred restaurants in the smallest area in the world), and the chocolate was incredible. It is a small town, so I thought one full day was enough to see everything, but I would love to see more of Belgium.
